Parent: Pool Maintenance
Procedure
- Fill: Fill the tube that sits on the white SpeedStir to the 10 mL line.
- Stir bar: Drop in the white ceramic stir bar and turn the SpeedStir on so the water spins like a little tornado.
- Powder: Add one blue-scoop-ful (level, not heaping) of the white powder from the yellow-top container. The water turns red — that means there’s chlorine.
- Count the drops: Use the brown dropper bottle with the yellow cap (R-0871), one drop at a time. Count each drop as you go.
- Color lightens: As you add drops, the red fades toward a faint pink.
- Back to clear: Stop once the water goes clear again. The number of drops you counted is your reading.
