Parent: Pool Maintenance

Equipment

A dedicated salt pen tester — “a glorified pen.” TBD: where the salt pen lives.

Procedure

  1. Dip: Put the salt pen in the water. It reads out the number. That’s the whole test.

Step photos

TBD photo — shot: salt pen held in the pool water with the reading visible.

Reading the result

Target range: roughly 2,750 – 3,200 ppm. TBD: confirm exact range.

It’s never been too high — only top-ups are needed.

Correction

Add salt to the pool. Any salt works; Z usually buys it from Walmart.

TBD: how much salt to add per reading gap.
