Parent: Pool Maintenance

Lives in the brown deck box. The power supply stays plugged in all the time, so it’s always ready to go.

Procedure

  1. Retrieve: Pull the unit and its cord out of the brown deck box and unspool the cord.
  2. Lower in: Gently place it in the water and let it sink to the bottom. Any orientation is fine.
  3. Start: At the other end of the cord, find the control panel and push the big circular button. If lights turn on, you’re good to go.
  4. Confirm: Stick around a few seconds — once you see it start to move, you can move along.
  5. Run: It runs between one and three hours, so no need to stay and watch. Come back and pull it out later when you can; it’s not a big deal even if it stays in for a few days.
  6. Pull out: Pull it in by the cord — gentle and consistent, not jerky. Once it’s close enough, reach and grab the handle and lift it out slowly. Water will drain out of it as it comes up; that’s fine.
  7. Put away: Once the water stops draining heavily, set it back in the brown deck box and reasonably wind the cord in so the lid closes.
